Christmas decorations come down in Benicia high, then up

Controversy surrounding the holiday decorations in Benicia High School to head this morning when students arrive to find all the holiday decorations were revealed after the campus club protesting the one dimensional theme decorations.

The first to protest the decorations take down is a 17-year-old Tori Compton began to protest senior captures Christmas at the high school this morning. Before learning that the decorations would rise back Compton said, "we are protesting the fact that the decorations come down."

"We feel we have the right to say we're offended at not having a Christmas tree," said Compton.

"We're stoked that the decorations go up again," said Danica sheet when chief Gary Jensen made an announcement that an agreement had been reached.  "We were threatened with arrest because of suspension and protest."

According to a letter posted on Benicia Patch school ACLU membership clubs want more decoration representing a wider variety of religious traditions and culture.  The letter did not want to clear the Club derived decor.
