Williamson County agricultural extension service is looking for some good, gardener or gardener in training, a Master Gardener Program for 2012, which will be held Tuesday 9 am-1 pm, January 10-April 3.

The Program allows participants the opportunity to learn more about managing the environment of their own homes, volunteers in community and fellowship with other gardeners. Last year, approximately 100 gardeners to participate.

The Williamson County Master Gardeners put in thousands of volunteer hours in the community each year, and this class is essential to our success, says Jonathan Black, UT Extension Agent for Williamson County.

There will be three hours session offered 12 on various topics in horticulture for homeowners, landscape professional or enthusiast, including horticultural landscape design, native plants, insect management, land and basic botany.

The Williamson County Master Gardeners need a complete course, followed by volunteer work in the community by the University of Tennessee extension and county Master Gardener Association s. There is a fee of $ 125, which includes all class materials.
